A person usually comes to therapy because they find themselves stuck in some way; perhaps an emotion that keeps surfacing, or finding themselves in the same type of relationship or conflict over and over. They're tired of same painful repetitions, yet unsure what to do to create change. I see my role as a therapist as assisting you in figuring out what’s getting in your way from making the changes you’d like to see.
I work to facilitate a process through which you can create a more interconnected understanding of the different parts of your life and self. Such explorations can have a big impact on how we feel, and the increased awareness one gains can lead to seeing more choices about how to live one's life.
What does this look like? A conversation. A space where you can talk about anything you'd like. We'll identify themes, patterns and experiences that are tied to the issues you’d like to work on, noticing the many—often surprising—places their effects show up and can covertly guide your day-to-day life.
